Biography: 

Josh graduated summa cum laude from Penn State University in 2019 with a B.S. in materials science and engineering and a minor in polymer science. While at Penn State, he researched and published his senior thesis on ion conducting polymers under the guidance of Dr. Robert Hickey and Dr. Ralph Colby. He also spent time at ExxonMobil Research and Engineering studying lubricants and elastomer seals for various industrial applications. In the fall of 2019, he joined the Georgia Tech School of Materials Science and Engineering and is co-advised by Dr. John Reynolds. His current research interests involve electronic and thermal conductivity in polymers with the end goal of designing materials that could have dynamic thermal conductivities. Specific areas of interest include phase change materials, dynamic covalent networks, conjugated polymers, and thermoelectrics. He is a board member of the Student Polymer Network at Georgia Tech and a member of the Tech to Teaching program.

Hobbies: Playing with his dogs, cooking and baking with his wife, golf, volleyball, and video games
