One of the newest STEEL team members, Jordan, wins the Department of Energy (DOE) Innovation in Buildings (IBUILD) Graduate Research Fellowship. The focus of the IBUILD Fellowship is to provide resources and funding to students who are researching building technologies, also opportunity to intern at a national lab and work directly with researchers in the DOE’s Building Technologies Office (BTO). “I am incredibly grateful to have been selected for this fellowship,” said Kocher. “To me, this fellowship is an opportunity to create more environmentally and economically sustainable energy technologies that will improve the quality of life for people around the globe.” Find more about his award, story & his novel non-vapor compression air-conditioning technology project at DOE’s BTO website.
